Ellie's 1 year old!

Ellie turned 1 year on June 12. We took her out to Azteca for Mexican food on her actual birthday with her Grandma and Grandpa Mote.

She had a lovely 1st birthday party with lots of friends and family there (thanks Sean & Julia for hosting! there's no way we could've fit everyone at our place!).

Ellie was also dedicated on the 14th at our church. We took her up in front of the congregation and we shared about her name Ellen--which means Light--and Grace, which is extending undeserved forgiveness, and how we hope that she will be a woman who both lives extends and walks in those things walks throughout her life. We also showed a slideshow of her first year of life and Amy is proud of herself that she didn't cry... at least during the slideshow :) We shared how we hope Ellie grows up to know and love God and that we as parents and our congregation would model that for her with our lives. Then we prayed for her :) (and that's when Amy cried).

June has been a busy month, and a quick one! David is done with school for the year and this summer will be a stay at home dad while Amy increases her work hours for the summer months. David is also going to be starting his National Boards certification (a lot of work, but with a pay raise at the end of it!) so he'll be working on some of those projects this summer.
We are still still waiting on this short sale house. Things are moving forward, very slowly, and we are still keeping our eyes peeled if a better deal comes up. We really like the house, and hope hope hope it works out. Amy is very tired of waiting and would just like to know if it's going to happen or not. If it will, we're fine with waiting! If not, we want to move on. Pray for a clear answer soon for us.
Amy's parents were also up here for a great visit for Ellie's birthday/dedication and a few weeks of just fun. We went to the Children's Museum (Ellie's birthday gift) and to Leavenworth, a Bavarian themed tourist town in central WA that has some beautiful mountains!
And finally here are some videos from the last month.
Good Morning, Ellie

This is Ellie on a typical morning, she is really sweet when she wakes up and loves jumping up and down!

Grumpy Ellie

And... Ellie has her grumpy days, too.

Here's some drinking videos. Man that sounds bad.

Eating with a spoon all by herself!

Walking around and around. It's like musical chair.

Brushing Hair
